Popularly known as the Vani Madhav Temple, Beni Madhav Temple is one of the 12 Madhav Temples in Allahabad's Prayag. This esteemed Hindu Temple is located in Daraganj at- Nirala Marg. According to Hindu Mythology a prominent Saint of Bengal's Vaishnavas called- Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also did penance in this holy place for a long time. This well-known Bengali Guru, as per Padma Purana, is the Prayag 's principal God.Presumably, the temple was built before 1916, since a Sanskrit school attached to the temple has been running from 1916. Everything that is noticeable from the path is the temple façade, now fully restored with new finishes. The temple style seems unique, in that we find a garbha griha at two levels, one above the other, in a temple of this antiquity. The gateway to the road consists of a doorway arched in mughal design.
