DAV Kapildev Public School is located in the Koperasi A.G. Colony, Kadru, Ranchi, only 3 km. far from the Ranchi Train Station on land leased for 99 years by A.G. Community Cooperatives are another link in the chain of more than 600 DAV Public Schools throughout the country, managed by the DAV College Implementing Committee, New Delhi. That made a very simple start with only 25 students from grades I to IV in 1991. On September 17, 1993, Padam Bhushan GP Chopra, President, DAV CMC inaugurated the building and marked its journey. The most brilliant moment for the school came this year when Nidhi Nivedita, who graduated class XII from this school, qualified at the IAS and ranked 33 in India's most prestigious in the general category and ranked 7th in the Civil Service exam (UPSC 2012). Our student Manshi Priya from Std XI was awarded the Award & Merit Certificate by former Indian Hon'ble President Shri APJ Abdul Kalam at IIM Ahmedabad on November 10, 2012, for a unique idea and innovation on "user-friendly pedicab pedicabs". Kishlaya Kunj from Class X was chosen as the National Winner of Brain Hunt 12 organized by the leading newsgroup "Dainik Bhaskar". He was awarded by His Excellency, Indian President Hon Smble Pratibha Devisingh Patil on 4 July 2012 in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.
