Out of a spontanious, experimental idea, Baba Cake came into life in October 2012. We started with nothing, but a couple of mattresses on the floor and a counter that fortunately already was sitting in the shop and was just waiting there to be filled up with delicious cakes! It’s India, which means that you can create amazing things out of nothing! Soon the shop started to take shape and we were happy to witness that our first customers really LOVED our cakes and chai; especially our apple-crumble became famous among the Kasar Devi traveler society. We feel blessed to be able to say that now Baba Cake is not only a simple coffee-shop, but has grown into a meeting point for creative people. It is a spot with excellent vibrations where ideas are being born and events like workshops, yoga classes and jam-sessions are taking place. Come as a customer and leave as a friend!
