Manikandan of Toneez Fitness Centre has brought laurels to India by winning the prestigious title of Mr. World in the men’s physique sector held at Qingdao in China in September . Mr.World is an international men’s physique fitness competition sanctioned by the World Body Building and Physiques sports federation, a member-country organization. This year witnessed more than athletes and delegates officials from countries participating. Entering in the international open, Manikandan has brought in heaps of glory to the Country. Speaking of it, Manikandan says, “It was an honor to represent India on the world stage. I now feel more responsible and will strive harder to get more laurels for the Country. In world championships, mainstream sports like badminton are well known and talked about, but not bodybuilding. I want to change that. My dream is that all sports sectors get attention.”
